JUST FOR FUN PIANO is our most popular workshop. In just three hours you'll l learn how to play any song in any style. You'll learn all the chords you need, by feel, just like touch typing. Chord playing becomes a reflex! You'll also learn:

• How to play more by reading less
• How to fill in and stylize any song
• How to play accompaniment as well as soloing
• How to improvise with confidence
• How to transpose in a flash.

This class is for total beginners as well as anyone interested in learning how to play with more creativity and freedom. This class is designed for ages 16 and up.

HOW TO PLAY BLUES PIANO
Learning this "Made in America Musical Form" is a blast. If you have a pulse you can play the blues. You'll learn:

• The 12 bar Blues Form
• The Blues Scale, And several Blues Bass lines that will really get the joint jumpin'.
• Learn how to put it all together and start a "Jam Session, any time!

For beginners and seasoned players alike. 2 1/2 hours in length.

CHORDS FOR KIDS!
This workshop is for kids 7 and up and their parents. It is designed to introduce children to the fundamental "building blocks" of music and to demonstrate how easy it is to create music on the piano right from the beginning. Kids and parents will both enjoy learning basic chord patterns that translate into fun songs and set the stage for a creative approach to learning the piano.

Particpants learn to construct major and minor chords as well as "basic" chord progressions used in hundreds of songs. Also included are recommendations for ongoing support materials as well as teachers. The workshop is 2 hours. Families are asked to bring a keyboard.

PIANO EMPOWERMENT RETREAT
This unique experiential work shop is specifically for experienced players who are interested in discovering more about the incredible healing power of music, specifically in relationship the to the piano. Presented at the beautiful Lithia Springs Retreat Center in Ashland, Oregon, this weekend event will focus on:

• The joy of improvisation
• How to get in "The Zone"
• Overcoming Practice Phoebia
• How to use your music for individual healing

The weekend will consist of

• Playing and listening sessions
• Demontrations
• Q and A
• Drum circle
• Private practice time

Lecture format with private time to explore Ashland. Breakfast and lunch will be included. Sessions begin on Friday and conclude Sunday afternoon. You may request an Ashland information packet which will include a schedule of all the "Oregon Shakespeare Festival" performances.
